CES 2025: AI Concept Car Analyzes Everything, Including Your Mood

At CES 2025, I tried a concept car equipped with artificial intelligence that could analyze a wealth of data about us, including our mood. This futuristic vehicle offered a truly transformative experience.

The Future Car Watches You

Ever imagined a car that can read your emotions? Meet the LG Vision AI Mobility concept car showcased at CES 2025. Equipped with sensors, cameras, and artificial intelligence, this vehicle can assess your health and stress levels, and it doesn’t stop there—it also provides a complete driving report with a score.

A Vehicle of Many Features

Stepping into this futuristic vehicle, I was immediately struck by its advanced technology. I selected my route using an eye-tracking system, choosing a scenic mountain path with an ocean backdrop. As soon as I started driving, I noticed the steering wheel monitoring my heart rate.

But that’s not all, the LG Vision AI Mobility Concept continuously tracks your stress levels and analyzes your posture using a 3D skeletal model. If you get distracted, say by taking a phone call, a red alert pops up on the display.

Constant Surveillance

The LG concept car can detect whether you’re sitting normally or too close to the dashboard. It can even see if you are smoking, drinking, talking, or yawning, and it evaluates your mood. I noticed a small icon displaying a neutral face on the dashboard; I was told it would change to a happy face if I smiled genuinely.

At the end of your journey, the LG Vision AI Mobility Concept provides a health report that includes your heart rate, stress level, and emotional state, along with a driving score. During my demo, I scored 81 out of 100.

Emerging Technology

This technology isn’t ready to hit our roads just yet. However, in a few years, we might see some of these safety features integrated into production vehicles. Imagine onboard AI assistants that (politely) remind you to keep focused or suggest a coffee break if you seem tired—an exciting yet somewhat daunting prospect.
