Kamala Harris Discusses Immigration, Energy, and Israel in Her First Interview as a Candidate
A Revealing Interview
In a recent CNN interview, Vice President Kamala Harris shared her views on topics like energy, immigration, and Israel, while criticizing former Republican President Donald Trump for “dividing our nation”.
Fracking: A Heated Topic
During the interview, Harris stated she would “not ban” fracking, a controversial hydrocarbon extraction method.
Despite her previous opposition to this technique, she maintains that “we can grow and develop a thriving economy based on clean energy without banning fracking”.
A Firm Stance on Immigration
On immigration, Harris declared that there must be “consequences” for those entering the U.S. illegally. Despite previously more progressive stances, she asserts that “her values have not changed”.
Personal Attacks from Donald Trump
Donald Trump has not held back in his criticisms, stating on his Truth Social platform that “Harris has flipped her stance on every issue”.
Trump, 78, also accused Harris, born to a Jamaican father and an Indian mother, of “becoming black” for electoral reasons. She chose not to elaborate on this, dismissing it as “the same old tune”.
Unwavering Support for Israel
Regarding Israel, Harris reiterated her support for the country’s “right to defend itself”. She also stated she would not suspend U.S. arms deliveries to Israel, despite the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
