Innovations Tailored for Users

Users can now enjoy rewards and installment payment options directly through Apple Pay. New features include installment loans through Affirm and Monzo Flex, and the ability to exchange reward points from Discover credit cards, with more issuers expected to follow in markets including the US, UK, and Australia.

Enhancing the Payment Experience

Jennifer Bailey’s original vision of “a world where one could use their iPhone to pay for everything effortlessly” is becoming a reality with Apple Pay’s latest advancements. Now used by hundreds of millions in 78 markets, Apple Pay is the preferred method for secure, hassle-free transactions.

The new features also allow users to access Apple Pay via third-party web browsers and computers. At checkout, users will scan a code with their iPhone or iPad, then securely complete the payment using Apple Pay.

Security as a Priority

For Apple, transaction security is paramount. Alongside these new features, Apple continues to safeguard consumers while enabling banks to keep fraud levels low for Apple Pay transactions. Apple Pay is designed to protect highly sensitive personal and financial information, such as card numbers, which are never shared with merchants.

Looking ahead, Apple is excited about the prospects of providing more payment options to users, further connecting them with their card issuers and lenders through the familiar Apple Pay experience.
