Leaked Benchmark: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Outperforms iPhone 16 Pro Max

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to deliver outstanding performance, potentially outperforming the iPhone 16 Pro Max, according to Geekbench leaks. These results are set to be confirmed in January 2025.
Un aperçu du futur: le Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
Next year, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to hit the market, boasting significant power largely thanks to the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. But just how powerful will this new model be? Recent benchmark leaks offer some clues.
Des performances qui impressionnent
Frequent leaker Jukanlosreve shared a Geekbench screenshot on X, purportedly from the US version of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to this leak, the phone will feature at least 12GB of RAM and run on Android 15 (via One UI).
The scores are striking: a single-core score of 3,148 and a multi-core score of 10,236, surpassing the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and even the “Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max with its A18 Pro chipset.”
Comparaison avec les concurrents
While the iPhone 16 Pro Max is an excellent device and was a significant upgrade over the S24 Ultra, it might be overshadowed if these benchmarks for Samsung’s new flagship are accurate. However, it’s always wise to approach these results with caution.
Des résultats à prendre avec prudence
Indeed, a single benchmark isn’t enough to determine a device’s overall power. Additionally, Geekbench results can be easily manipulated, and screenshots even more so. For instance, a previously leaked benchmark for the S25 Ultra showed a slightly lower single-core score of 3,011 and a multi-core score of 9,706, compared to another benchmark allegedly tested on the recently launched OnePlus 13 in China.
In any case, we’ll be putting the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra through our rigorous tests as soon as it launches in January 2025, to see how it stacks up against the latest iPhones and these leaks.
