Major YouTube Web Upgrade for Billions of Users

YouTube has just rolled out a significant update to its web platform, set to affect billions of users. This new feature promises to save you valuable time while browsing.
YouTube Revolutionizes Playback Speed Control
YouTube, a top web platform, has unveiled a new feature for its users: a playback speed slider added to its web browser, simplifying video speed control.
A Feature Formerly Limited to the Mobile App
Previously available only on YouTube’s mobile app, this feature allowed users to adjust video playback speed to suit their preferences or needs. Now, it’s also accessible on the website.
Using this feature is straightforward. Just click the settings icon on the video, then select Playback Speed. A window opens where users can quickly move the slider to choose a speed, or select from preset options. Despite the update, speed options remain the same, ranging from -0.25x to 2x (in 0.25 increments).
A Continuously Evolving Platform
Alongside this update, YouTube is implementing additional changes. The site frequently updates, particularly in handling ads. For instance, it plans to introduce pause-screen ads and is looking to counter ad blockers.
However, not all updates are ad-centric. A major update is in development, promising many user-requested features, like a sleep timer.
YouTube Premium for an Optimal Experience
YouTube tirelessly enhances its services to deliver the best user experience. However, to fully enjoy all features of the site and app, YouTube Premium remains the most beneficial option.
