New Images of the OnePlus Open 2 Foldable Revealed

Newly released images of the OnePlus Open 2 foldable have surfaced, offering a first detailed look at this highly anticipated new model.
A Redesigned Look for the OnePlus Open 2
Leaked images of the upcoming OnePlus Open 2 suggest a sleeker design, potentially building on the acclaim of its predecessor, which topped our list of best foldable phones. These early visuals may offer a glimpse into what the new model will look like.
Subtle Yet Significant Changes
According to a new Smartprix report, the OnePlus Open 2 appears largely similar to its predecessor, maintaining the circular camera setup albeit with rearranged lenses. “The unfolded display also looks very similar to the previous model,” the report notes. However, it confirms earlier rumors that the OnePlus Open 2 might be one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market, with a thickness of less than 10mm.
Promising Technical Specifications
Beyond its design, the report also shares some potential specifications of the OnePlus Open 2, including the addition of the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. It is also expected to feature an 8-inch main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K LTPO technology, an upgrade from the original OnePlus Open’s 7.82-inch 2K display.
An Uncertain Release Date
So far, details about the OnePlus Open 2’s release have been sparse. Initial rumors hinted at an early next year launch without a quad-camera system. However, a later leak suggested a possible release not before July. While exact release dates remain undisclosed, SmartPrix mentions that the phone could launch in early 2025 in China and in the first quarter globally.
