Discover What Truly Sets the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Apart from Its Predecessors

A leaked rendering of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra reveals significant improvements over its predecessors, the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra, marking a major step forward in the evolution of the Galaxy series.
Galaxy S25 Ultra: A Redesigned Marvel
As the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on January 22 nears, speculation and leaks are intensifying. The latest reveals a sneak peek at the enhanced design of the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra.
A Sleeker, More Modern Design
Noted leaker Ice Universe recently showcased an image of the Galaxy S25 Ultra alongside Samsung’s current premium models, the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the S23 Ultra. While similar in many respects, two major design shifts are evident:
- The design is more rounded than its predecessors.
- The bezels are the slimmest ever seen on a smartphone, minimized to the extreme.
Thinner Bezels for a Larger Screen
Since December, Ice Universe has been predicting that the bezels on Samsung’s next flagship would outmatch “all current mobile phones,” including the iPhone 16 Pro Max. While exact measurements of the bezels remain undisclosed, a side-by-side comparison clearly shows they are thinner than those on previous Ultra models.
This change aligns with the designs of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, which also feature rounded corners. The Galaxy Ultra phones have maintained their distinctive edges since their debut in 2020, but shifting to a more unified look across all flagships makes sense for Samsung.
A Glimpse at the Specifications
The overall dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra are not expected to change significantly from last year’s model. Whereas the Galaxy S24 Ultra featured a 6.8-inch screen at launch—one of the largest available at the time—the S25 Ultra is set to slightly exceed this with a 6.9-inch display, largely thanks to the slimmer bezels.
With the full specifications of the Galaxy S25 series already leaked, including the color options for the three models, and anticipated upgrades like a new 50MP ultra-wide sensor and Qualcomm’s powerful new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, little is left to the imagination for next week’s grand Samsung event.
With the Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for January 22, it won’t be long before the Galaxy S25 Ultra is unveiled, showcasing these exciting design changes.
