The Meta Horizon Creator Program (MHCP) has been expanded to include additional countries, enhancing creators’ monetization opportunities. Creators can now enjoy monthly bonuses, digital item sales, and compete in creator competitions for cash prizes.

Starting today, users can explore and interact with worlds created on the Meta Horizon and Facebook mobile apps. With a growing mobile audience showing a strong interest in exploration, gaming, and social interaction on the go, Meta is launching a million-dollar mobile creators competition open to all MHCP members. The competition, named “Mobile Genre Showdown”, will start on March 11, 2025, rewarding 30 talented creators who design innovative mobile experiences in Horizon Worlds.
As of February 2025, Facebook reported 3.07 billion monthly active users worldwide, with 98.5% accessing via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, and 81.8% exclusively using these devices to access the platform. In February 2022, Meta announced that Horizon Worlds and Horizon Venues had a total of 300,000 monthly users. However, by October that year, reports indicated a drop below 200,000 active users per month, and since then, Meta has not released new data on Horizon Worlds’ audience.
