iOS Update Equips iPhone 15 Pro with Visual Intelligence

The upcoming iOS update will enhance the iPhone 15 Pro user experience by introducing a Visual Intelligence feature, which improves image processing and interpretation.
Visual Intelligence Feature Coming Soon to iPhone 15 Pro
The iPhone 15 Pro is set for an exciting upgrade. According to Daring Fireball, owners of this model will soon enjoy the Visual Intelligence feature, previously exclusive to the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro.
Activation Without a Dedicated Button
While the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro activate Visual Intelligence with a long press on a dedicated camera button, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max lack this button. Users will need to assign it to the Action button or use a Control Center shortcut. This update is expected to roll out soon.
Real-Time Analysis with Artificial Intelligence
As part of Apple’s AI feature suite, Visual Intelligence can real-time analyze objects captured by the camera. It operates autonomously but is more useful with persistent shortcuts to ChatGPT or Google Image Search.
For instance, if you discover a unique set of towels in your cupboard and want to buy more, Visual Intelligence can leverage a Google Search shortcut to check if your beloved towels are available online. Alternatively, you could use ChatGPT to find product details and ordering information.
Autonomous Capabilities
Visual Intelligence also interacts with text to translate, read aloud, or summarize. It can provide details about a business targeted with your phone’s camera, including opening hours, menus, services, and even facilitate purchases.
iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max owners can look forward to these new features soon, possibly even earlier for those willing to dive into the sometimes choppy waters of beta software testing.
