Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Claim Over 330 Lives

The situation in Gaza is escalating, with over 330 lives lost to unprecedented Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was established, showing no signs of the conflict abating.
Escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has ended. Unprecedented Israeli airstrikes since January 19 have killed at least 330 people in Gaza, according to the territory’s Civil Defense. The majority of the victims are Palestinian women and children.
A Deliberate Act
The Israeli Defense Forces and the Internal Security Agency have claimed responsibility for these attacks. According to the Israeli government, the strikes were ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz following Hamas’s rejection of American proposals. “Israel will henceforth act against Hamas with increased military force,” the government emphasized.
Humanitarian Consequences
Images broadcasted by AFP show injured individuals being urgently transported to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The Health Ministry reported over 330 deaths and hundreds of injuries, with many in critical condition.
Furthermore, it has been announced that schools in Israel near the Gaza Strip will remain closed “until further notice.”
Hamas Retaliates
Hamas accuses Israel of “sabotaging” the truce and seeking to “sacrifice” hostages. According to a Hamas statement, the Israeli Prime Minister “has decided to resume the war of extermination, which he sees as a lifeline for internal crises.” Hamas has urged the UN Security Council to convene urgently to compel Israel to “stop the aggression” and withdraw its troops from the entire Gaza Strip.
Despite massive civilian losses, Israel remains determined to carry out a destructive offensive in Gaza. This escalation of conflict raises serious concerns about the stability of the region and the fate of civilians caught in the crossfire.
