Apple Watch with Camera: Toward a Visionary and Intelligent Timepiece

Apple is developing an Apple Watch with built-in cameras, paving the way for a new era of AI-based interaction, expected to revolutionize the field by 2027.
Apple Sets Its Sights on Integrating AI into Its Devices
Always on the forefront of innovation, Apple is poised to take a significant leap into the future of technology. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the company is developing new versions of its popular Apple Watch that will include cameras, further embedding AI capabilities into its devices.
Cameras for Enhanced Interaction with the External World
The inclusion of cameras in upcoming Apple Watch models aims to enable the device to “see the external world.” Both standard and Ultra models will feature different camera integrations; the standard model will have a camera embedded within the screen like an iPhone, while the Ultra’s camera will be positioned on the side of the watch, next to the digital crown and side button.
Increased Use of AI in Apple Products
Adding cameras to the Apple Watch is just the tip of the iceberg in Apple’s AI strategy. The Cupertino-based company is also planning to enhance its AirPods with Visual Intelligence technology. Currently, this technology largely relies on ChatGPT and Google, but Apple aims to develop its own AI methodologies internally.
The launch of these new watches, along with camera-equipped AirPods, is not expected until 2027. Meanwhile, the team working on these projects continues to evolve, with recent leadership changes signaling a strong commitment to innovation. These advancements promise to transform how users interact with everyday technology.
