Another poll by the Pew Research Center records a 40% approval rating, a 7-point decrease since February.

Economic Management Under Fire

Trump’s economic policies are a central point of criticism. The confidence once placed in him to manage the economy has dwindled. The Economist/YouGov study indicates that 54% of participants believe the national economy is heading in the wrong direction, up from 37% in January. Particularly, only 31% of Americans are satisfied with his handling of the cost of living, as per a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

Trump’s campaign promise to cut prices seems jeopardized by potentially rising inflation due to his trade wars.

Immigration Policies Also Criticized

Trump’s immigration stance faces backlash too. Only 45% support his decision to deport over 200 undocumented immigrants to El Salvador, a move that was overturned by the courts.

This action was based on a controversial law targeting “foreign enemies.”

Losing Hispanic Support

Furthermore, Trump’s influence among Hispanic voters has declined. According to the Pew Research Center, only 27% of Hispanic voters now view Trump favorably, down from 36% in early February.
