Coyote has launched a new app designed to help drivers avoid fines by providing alerts for fixed speed cameras and traffic stops, promising to prevent any unexpected penalties.

An App to Dodge Traffic Fines

In a country brimming with speed cameras, the likelihood of receiving a traffic fine is quite high, with Coyote recording 12 million flashes in 2024.

In response, the driver assistance systems company launched a new app on March 31, 2025, featuring enhanced interfaces, smoother navigation, and improved performance.

Innovative Features for Safer Driving

Unveiled on April 3, 2025, during Coyote’s 20th anniversary, the app introduces several new features. Drivers can now access zones indicating the presence of speed cameras, and if they exceed the speed limit, the app’s screen will flash to alert them. Additionally, the app promises “optimal adaptation and anticipation” with progressive sound alerts.

The hazard alerts have also been upgraded. Coyote notes that “the triangular shape of the control alerts has been retained to distinguish them from other notifications, while the color of the disturbance and safety alerts intensifies based on the level of danger.”

Two New Modes for an Optimal Experience

The latest version of the app introduces two new modes. The expert mode allows for advanced anticipation of hazards and controls up to 30 km ahead. The map mode ensures continuous route and navigation, even during alerts. Users can also choose between two traditional themes: light and dark.

To enjoy these new features, subscriptions start at 9.99 euros for the classic plan or 14.99 euros for the premium plan, which includes compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With 5 million users across Europe, Coyote aims to attract even more motorists with this update.
