Eurostar has introduced a mini-program on WeChat, streamlining ticket purchases for Chinese travelers. This innovative approach, driven by EuroPass and PayXpert, aims to tap into the burgeoning market.

Eurostar Targets Chinese Market with WeChat Mini-Program

In a bold strategic move, Eurostar, in collaboration with EuroPass and PayXpert, is launching a new WeChat-integrated program. This initiative aims to streamline ticket purchasing for Chinese travelers, catering to the growing demand from this customer segment.

Digital Initiative Led by EuroPass and PayXpert

EuroPass, experts in creating digital solutions for the Chinese market, developed the mini-program. Integrated within WeChat, it allows users to directly purchase Eurostar tickets through their messaging app. Stéphanie Bacelon, EuroPass’s Operations Director, states the program will “boost Eurostar’s growth in this rapidly expanding segment.” Additionally, with PayXpert’s help, the program includes WeChat Pay as a payment option, simplifying transactions for Chinese users.

An Opportunity for Eurostar to Capture a New Market

This partnership holds significant potential for Eurostar. As more Chinese travelers prefer individual travel, Eurostar is positioning itself to capture a substantial share of this booming market. Tuesday-Ann Castle, Head of International Development at Eurostar, remarks that this move is a “major step in our journey towards internationalization and innovation.”

A Bright Future with a Tailored User Experience

This strategic alliance between Eurostar, EuroPass, and PayXpert exemplifies the adaptability of transport services to meet the evolving needs of international markets. By customizing the customer experience for its Chinese clientele through personalized solutions like the WeChat mini-program, Eurostar strengthens its leadership in Channel-crossing rail transport.
