Even Realities Unveils Smart Glasses at CES 2025
At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Even Realities showcased its smart glasses, the G1 and G1B models. Already on the market for several months, these glasses have excited attendees with their ability to blend smart digital features into the real world.
Sleek Design Meets Cutting-Edge Technology
The G1 features a round design reminiscent of Philip Johnson, while the G1B offers a more rectangular shape. Both models are equipped with a 160mAh battery, providing nearly a day and a half of use on a single charge, according to the company. They also come with a charging case that has a 2,000mAh battery, capable of recharging the glasses at least two and a half times.
The glasses utilize a waveguide display with a 25-degree field of view and a resolution of 640 x 200, displaying simple text and graphics in an “old school” green.
Practical Features for an Optimal User Experience
Even Realities has opted not to overload the G1 with features, focusing instead on those that truly enhance the user’s experience while conserving battery life. Key features include receiving navigation directions directly in your field of view, using the glasses as a teleprompter, real-time translation into multiple languages, and transcription of your dictations through the built-in microphone. Additionally, smartphone notifications can be displayed directly before your eyes, eliminating the need to constantly check your phone or watch.
An Accessible and Durable Product
The glasses’ design allows for easy repairability; an optician can replace the lenses if they are damaged or your prescription changes. Also, the company offers a service to replace batteries when they wear out. The Even Realities smart glasses G1 and G1B are available starting at $599, although the price may vary with optional prescription lenses and other features.
