Forget Touchscreens: Clicks Brings BlackBerry-Style Keyboards to Android Phones

Forget touchscreens: Clicks is revolutionizing the Android smartphone market by incorporating a BlackBerry-style keyboard.
Clicks Expands to Android
Following its success with the iPhone’s tactile keyboard, Clicks is now launching into the Android market. The phone case manufacturer has announced its keyboard will now be available for various new Android models, including Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25, and Motorola Razr Plus 2024.
Enhanced Typing Experience
The new Clicks keyboard for Android aims to replicate the user experience of the iPhone 16, featuring a larger screen surface and convenient keyboard shortcuts. “Clicks offers the Android community more choices in how they type, navigate, and interact with a smart accessory that is both fun and functional,” stated Michael Fisher, co-founder of Clicks, in a press release.
Equipped with a Gemini key for AI features, backlighting, and a Clicks app for customization, the keyboard is designed to be recharged via USB-C or standard wireless charging, significantly improving upon the original design.
A Change in Size
It’s important to note that the keyboard will noticeably increase your phone’s length. While exact dimensions for the new cases are not provided, we know the iPhone 16 version measures 7.41 inches tall, adding nearly 2 inches to the standard iPhone height. Similar dimensions are expected for the Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25, which are 6.09 and 5.78 inches tall, respectively. Those already frustrated by the increasing size of phones in recent years may find this concerning.
Pre-Order Launch
The four Android Clicks case versions are available for pre-order starting today, February 25, at an introductory price of $99. After March 21, the price will increase to $139, matching the iPhone version. Delivery dates vary by model: Pixel 9 variants will ship by the end of April, followed by the Razr Plus and Razr in “late May,” while the Galaxy S25 won’t launch until June.
