Google Lens Revolutionizes: Now Search Using Video and Voice!

Google Lens has been significantly updated; it now supports searches using both video and voice.
Google Revolutionizes Technology with Google Lens
Google is pushing the boundaries of mobile search with an enhanced version of Google Lens. This first-of-its-kind upgrade enables video-based searches and voice queries instead of text typing. Each month, Lens facilitates nearly 20 billion visual searches, with 20% of all Lens searches related to shopping.
Redesigned Interface for Enhanced Usability
Upon opening Google Lens on an iPhone or Android phone, users will encounter a redesigned interface that allows them to send an image or a 20-second video to Gemini for analysis. Google explained in a meeting that this video capability could provide more complex answers to scenarios that cannot be captured with a single image. For instance, sending a video of your child playing unusually on a slide and asking if it’s safe. Google will respond almost instantly.
Privacy Respect and Voice Integration
In terms of privacy protection, a Google spokesperson assured that any video would be deleted immediately after being sent to Gemini for analysis and would not be used further to train the model or future versions. Additionally, voice search functionality has also been integrated into Google Lens’ photo query option. Google suggests that you simply “point your camera, hold down the shutter button, and ask any question that comes to mind—just as you would show something to a friend and ask them a question.”
A New Horizon for Search
Google initially revealed its plans to add video and voice to Google Lens at its Google IO event earlier this year, and the rollout is now beginning for all users. The video search option is a thrilling addition, and according to Google Lens, queries are now the fastest-growing type of search, making it easier to explore the world around us. To access the new Google Lens feature, simply enter into Google Lens and hold down the shutter button. This allows your phone to record a video while giving you time to ask questions.
