HP’s AI Promises More Efficient Web Printing Method
Currently in beta, one might wonder what the upcoming developments are planned to be.
HP Print AI: A Revolution in Printing Technology
HP has just unveiled its latest breakthrough, HP Print AI, touted as the industry’s first smart printing experience. This software aims to “simplify and enhance printing, from setup to support” by integrating AI, technology’s two favorite initials.
Perfect Output: The Answer to Web Printing Issues
The software includes several tools, with the highlight being a feature named Perfect Output. Typically, printing from web pages results in subpar quality. HP claims that its built-in algorithms will minimize unnecessary white spaces and remove ads, while also optimizing image sizes. This makes web printing as refined as word processing, ensuring everything fits “perfectly on the page the first time.”
A Tailored Printing Experience
HP Print AI also uses artificial intelligence to customize support for each user. The company states its “smart technology anticipates” consumer needs, which will be especially beneficial during setup and in remembering user preferences. An integrated chatbot facilitates language-based requests, operating on a proprietary “print language model” or PLM.
Availability and Compatibility
The feature starts rolling out today for select beta customers. HP informed Engadget that Perfect Output will be compatible with any HP printer, provided the correct driver is installed and it is connected to a Windows 10 or Windows 11 machine. Following customer feedback, a broader release is expected. Finally, HP plans to incorporate these tools into a software update scheduled for next year. Currently, the tools are linked to the driver software.
