Luxury Car Alert: Porsche and Audi Issue Recall Over Fire Risk

Luxury vehicles are not immune to defects. A recent warning from the official RappelConso site targets high-end models from Porsche and Audi, prestigious brands of the German automaker Volkswagen. The recall is due to **”production issues in certain high-voltage battery modules”** that could pose a fire hazard.

## The Affected Models

The vehicles involved in this recall include:
– The Porsche Taycan, sold between November 7, 2019, and June 15, 2023, identified by numbers: Y1A, e13*2007/46*0919*01-*08.
– The Audi A6 TFSI-e, A7 TFSI-e, Q5 TFSI-e, sold between January 21, 2021, and August 21, 2023, with identification numbers: F2, FY, e1*2007/46*1550*, e1*2007/46*1801*.
– The Audi e-tron GT, RS e-tron GT, sold from January 9, 2020, to February 16, 2024, identified by: FW, e1*2018/858*00005*.

## Identified Fire Risk

According to RappelConso, **”a combination of production issues (such as a torn anode tab, a bent cathode tab, a detached cathode, or a double production subject pocket crack) has been found in certain high-voltage battery modules.”**

**”Over the vehicle’s lifetime, these issues, when combined, can increase the fire risk,”** the site warns.

## Recommended Action for Owners

If you own one of these vehicles, it is advised to contact your dealer as soon as possible to arrange the necessary repairs. This precautionary measure will help ensure your safety and that of your loved ones.
