Just a year after its launch, Meta’s AI assistant boasts half a billion users. Zuckerberg aims to make Meta AI the world’s most used assistant by the end of 2024, though specific criteria for this goal were not disclosed.

Significant Impact on User Engagement

However, Meta AI isn’t the only tool driving the company’s growth. According to Zuckerberg, AI enhancements to Facebook’s news feed and video recommendations have increased user time on Facebook by 8% and on Instagram by 5% this year. Advertisers are also benefiting, with over 15 million ads generated using Meta’s AI tools last month alone. “We believe there’s still much to be gained here,” Zuckerberg stated.

Threads, Another Meta Success

Beyond AI, Meta’s Threads app is also thriving, reaching nearly 275 million monthly users. Zuckerberg reported over a million new sign-ups per day, noting that “engagement is also on the rise.”
