Meta is keeping a tight lid on the exact details of the event, merely promising to “share the latest advancements in our open-source AI developments to help developers excel at what they do best: create incredible applications and products.” The list of speakers and potential products to be unveiled remains undisclosed. However, it is highly likely that the company is working on the Llama 4 model, expected to launch in early 2025.

According to TechCrunch, the company is struggling to understand how its competitor DeepSeek managed to develop competing technology at a fraction of the development cost. Additionally, a lawsuit is ongoing, accusing Meta of training its Llama models on copyrighted book materials without permission.
