Microsoft Now Allows iPhone Access from Windows 11 Start Menu: Learn How

Learn how Microsoft's new feature lets you access your iPhone directly from the Windows 11 Start menu, a long-awaited addition for users.
A Highly Anticipated Update
Microsoft has excited iPhone users with a recent announcement: Windows 11 will now allow direct access to your iPhone from the Start Menu, a feature that Android phones have enjoyed since last year.
A Glimpse at the New Features
The latest update enables you to check your iPhone’s battery status, cellular connectivity, and recent activities right on Windows 11. Additionally, it facilitates making calls and sending messages. More impressively, you can now share files between Android and iPhone devices simply by selecting ‘Send Files’ when accessing your phone.
A Simple Setup Process
Setting up is straightforward. Just open the Start Menu, select ‘iPhone’ from the right panel, and follow the on-screen instructions to link your iPhone with your computer.
Availability and Compatibility
Currently, this feature is rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta channels. To use it, you need one of the Windows 11 Insider Preview versions: Build 4805 or higher for Beta Insiders and Build 26120.300 or higher for Devs. Additionally, your PC must have Bluetooth LE capability and Phone Link version 1.24121.30.0 or higher.
However, not everyone will have access to this update. If you are using Windows 11 Pro Education or Education SKUs, the update will not be available.
