Mobvoi Challenges Apple, Samsung, and Garmin with New Rugged Adventure Watch

Mobvoi is entering the competitive market against giants like Apple, Samsung, and Garmin by introducing a new, durable adventure watch.
Google’s Gap in Rugged Adventure Watches
While Apple and Samsung have launched outdoor adventure watches like the Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, Google has yet to introduce its own. Other brands like Garmin and Coros also offer models suited for outdoor activities.
The TicWatch Atlas: A New Challenger Emerges
Mobvoi has entered the smartwatch fray with the TicWatch Atlas, a stainless steel watch boasting up to 45 days of battery life. Running on Google’s Wear OS, it features a suite of AI capabilities.
Competitive Pricing and Enticing Features
At just 360€, the Atlas is priced significantly lower than its competitors like the 899€ Apple Watch Ultra 2. Despite its lower price, it rivals top models with features like fall detection and new heat maps that show your most active locations.
These heat maps are especially useful for athletes, allowing for the tracking of outdoor activities across various sports. Mobvoi advises securing the watch tightly during contact sports to prevent injuries to other players.
Health and Wellness Tracking
The Atlas tracks heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep patterns, and VO2 max. It also includes stress management tools similar to those found in the best Fitbits and Oura Ring 4.
Despite arriving with Wear OS 4 while Wear OS 5 has been out since July, the TicWatch Atlas offers strong value for those seeking a durable, long-lasting watch for outdoor adventures.
