Motorola’s AI Revolution: Unveiling the Future of Razr Phones
Motorola has launched its first open beta program centered on Moto AI for Razr and Razr Plus (2024) users, offering a chance to explore advanced AI features and engage with the ongoing tech revolution.
Motorola Unveils Its First Open Beta Program
On November 27, technology giant Motorola announced the launch of its inaugural open beta program. This program, centered on the new features of Moto AI, is currently available to owners of the Motorola Razr (2024) and Razr Plus (2024) in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with French to follow soon.
A Host of Innovative Features at Your Fingertips
When Motorola updated the Razr phones in June, these foldable flip phones were equipped with several AI features, including Google’s Gemini Nano chatbot and AI-driven camera tools like Action Shot. Beta program participants now have access to even more advanced features. Highlights of the Moto AI beta include:
Catch Me Up: By saying “Catch me up,” you get summaries of important messages. Moto AI keeps you updated on missed notifications.
Pay Attention: This command allows Moto AI to record, transcribe, and summarize audio. According to Motorola, just press record and the AI does the rest. This is invaluable for meetings or brainstorming sessions.
Remember This: This feature appears to be a simplified version of Microsoft’s Copilot+ Recall. Showing photos or screenshots to the AI helps provide context to “significant facts” stored in your “Journal” on the phone.
Even More Intuitive Navigation
Motorola also announced a redesigned search bar for web use or an AI LLM. The search bar will scour the internet or locate apps, contacts, or settings on your phone, allowing for natural language queries.
The app drawer now benefits from three new tabs – Apps, News, and Journal – enabling you to consolidate information in one place.
How to Sign Up for the Beta Program
If you own a Motorola Razr (2024), Razr Plus (2024) in the US, or Motorola Edge 50 elsewhere, you can sign up for the beta program now. Motorola suggests looking out for a notification to enroll, or alternatively, you can visit Motorola.com to register for the beta program.
