NVIDIA's latest compact supercomputer, designed for artificial intelligence generation, is also the most affordable in its lineup.

NVIDIA’s Pocket-Sized Supercomputer

Technology giant NVIDIA has once again pushed the boundaries of artificial intelligence with the unveiling of the Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, an upgraded version of its 2022 Jetson Orin Nano development kit.

A Leap Forward in Performance

This new compact generative AI supercomputer fits in the palm of your hand and features an 8GB Jetson Orin Nano system on a module with a reference carrier board. Performance-wise, the Jetson Orin Nano Super delivers 68 trillion operations per second (TOPS), a 70% increase over its predecessor. NVIDIA also reports a 1.7-fold improvement in generative AI inference performance and a 50% increase in bandwidth to 102GB per second. The processor frequency has been modestly boosted to 1.7GHz from 1.5GHz.

Benefits Across All Popular Generative AI Models

NVIDIA also claims that the Jetson Orin Nano Super offers significant performance gains for all popular generative AI models, including large language models (LLMs), visual language models, and visual transformers.

Enhancing the Predecessor with Software Updates

Software updates for the Jetson Orin Nano Super can also enhance its predecessor, which is great news if you own the original Jetson Orin Nano. Simply download and install the latest software update. However, NVIDIA has not specified how the performance of the older device would change.

The Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit is currently available from NVIDIA-approved retailers. Priced at just $249, down from the predecessor’s $499, it is the most affordable product of its kind on the market today.
