Following months of speculation, the release of the OnePlus 13 has been officially confirmed. A top executive at OnePlus recently announced that the brand’s flagship product will launch later in October.

A Phone Powered by the Latest Snapdragon Flagship Processor
Li Jie Louis, President of OnePlus China, confirmed on Weibo that the OnePlus 13 will feature the “latest flagship Snapdragon processor”. It is highly likely to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, set to launch by the end of October.
Enhanced Performance Through New Technologies
Li claims that the OnePlus 13 has made a “huge leap” in performance and smoothness, reaching an unprecedented level on Android. This is evidenced by a leaked Geekbench score in September, which, if attributed to the OnePlus 13, rivals Apple’s new A18 chips.
He also revealed that the new phone will run Color OS 15 in China. This is unsurprising, as OnePlus uses ColorOS in China instead of the Oxygen OS based on ColorOS used elsewhere.
In addition to the new Qualcomm SoC, Li stated that the phone’s enhanced performance could be credited to new Tidal and Aurora engine technologies. The Tidal engine is designed to improve performance, while the Aurora engine is expected to provide smoother animations.
