Smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has unveiled the final design of its latest model, the OnePlus 13, through a video posted on the brand’s official social media. The video reveals the back of the device and announces a launch date set for October 31.
Similar Rear Design with Notable Adjustments
The OnePlus 13 retains the general layout of its predecessor, the OnePlus 12, including the distinctive circular camera island. However, significant changes include the removal of the side plate, isolating the camera island. A horizontal metal bar has been added to the back of the phone, aligning with the cross-shaped form inside the camera block. Additionally, the OnePlus 13 features a new flat frame, reminiscent of the iPhone 16’s design.
New Color Options Inspired by Nature
The reveal also introduces new color options for the OnePlus 13: Obsidian, Blue, and White. These shades, “inspired by images of forests, oceans, and snow,” according to the translated post, broaden the palette available to consumers. The phone’s three 50MP camera sensors, including an enhanced telephoto lens, were also showcased.
Launch in China, Global Release to Follow
While the OnePlus 13 is confirmed to launch on October 31 in China, there is no information yet on a broader release. However, a global launch is expected in the following months, or by early 2025 at the latest, consistent with previous OnePlus launch patterns.
While not all details about the OnePlus 13 have been disclosed, the smartphone is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and localized refresh rate control. These features are likely to be confirmed on October 31, according to leaks.
