The Samsung Galaxy S25 may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in all its models, ensuring consistent performance globally.

A Unique Chip for the Galaxy S25

The Samsung Galaxy S25 appears set to follow in the footsteps of the S24 by utilizing a single chip across all its models, supported by a recent information leak.

Last year, Samsung released its phones with two different chips depending on the region. The Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus in the U.S. featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while other countries received models with the Exynos 2400. This component dualism cast uncertainty on the Galaxy S25’s configuration until a notable leaker recently shed some light.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite for All

Recent statements from Ice Universe suggest that the Galaxy S25 will be globally equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This ensures uniform performance across all devices, regardless of purchase location or model, dismissing any speculation about a “superior” version in certain regions.

This aligns with another report from September, indicating Samsung’s potential shift from the Exynos chip in favor of the Snapdragon for international markets. Additionally, a Korean media outlet recently highlighted that Samsung’s 3nm manufacturing process for the Exynos 2500 yielded a low chip output, making them more expensive to produce.

Enhanced Performance

The Snapdragon 8 Elite significantly outperforms its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Our testing has shown that it offers impressive multi-core performance, even surpassing the Apple A18 Pro. Furthermore, its graphical rendering and AI processing capabilities are substantially superior to other chips on the market.

Despite disappointing rumors that the Galaxy S25 might use the same OLED M13 screens as the Galaxy S24, the enhanced performance from the new processor could optimize display quality. This could be Samsung’s way of balancing the high cost of the new Snapdragon chip, though it likely won’t prevent a price increase for consumers.

If these sources prove accurate, we can expect a significant boost in the power of Samsung’s upcoming phones, potentially making the Galaxy S25 one of the standout smartphones for the upcoming year.
