Samsung Galaxy S25 Unpacked 2025: What to Expect This Wednesday?

Tune in this Wednesday to explore the technological innovations at the Samsung Galaxy S25 launch event, set for 2025—a groundbreaking journey into the future.
Get Ready for Samsung’s 2025 Galaxy Unpacked
Samsung’s first major launch of 2025 is just around the corner. The tech titan is set to unveil its latest innovations at the “Galaxy Unpacked” event on January 22 at 1PM ET in San Jose, California.
What Products Should We Expect?
Mirroring Apple’s strategy with its iPhones, Samsung typically launches its flagship Galaxy S models during the year’s first Unpacked event. It’s almost certain that the new Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models will be introduced. Specifics about these phones have been hinted at with an FCC certification spotted by 91Mobiles.
A leaked video on Reddit and images from renowned leaker Ice Universe suggest a subtle redesign with rounded corners, flatter edges, and slimmer bezels. However, don’t expect dramatic aesthetic shifts, even though Samsung has hired a former Mercedes-Benz designer.
AI and Camera Enhancements on the Horizon
One thing’s for sure: there will be a focus on artificial intelligence. According to DigiTimes, the Galaxy S25 series will feature an “AI Agent offering personalized clothing suggestions and transport information.” Additionally, Samsung has declared that its One UI 7 will be its “first AI-integrated platform,” capable of understanding natural language from speech, images, and text.
Photography-wise, Ice Universe reports that only the ultra-wide sensor in the Galaxy S25 Ultra will see an upgrade, from 12MP to 50MP. The S25 Ultra will maintain a 200MP main sensor, a 10MP 3x zoom, and a 50MP 5x zoom.
A Glimpse into the Future
Lastly, DigiTimes reports that Samsung might also unveil the Galaxy Ring 2 and augmented reality (AR) glasses at the Unpacked event. Weighing around 50g, the AR glasses would look like normal eyeglasses and use Google’s Gemini AI, a plausible development given Samsung’s collaboration with Google and Qualcomm on Android XR.
