Samsung’s One UI Expands to Cover TVs and Home Appliances!

The upcoming software update will be included with the flagship models of the 2025 Galaxy S series.
Samsung Expands One UI Across All Product Lines
Electronics giant Samsung, through Executive Vice President Sally Hyesoon Jeong, announced at the 2024 Developer Conference that its One UI interface will now be integrated across all consumer devices, including TVs and home appliances. Previously, One UI was exclusive to its Galaxy phones, tablets, and wearables.
Yes, it looks like iOS.
However, the new recent apps menu on One UI 7 is particularly impressive, offering fluid and visually satisfying effects.
Essentially, it is an enhanced version of the recent apps menu found on iOS, including a “close all” feature.

A Unified Software Experience for All Samsung Devices
Samsung aims to provide a consistent software experience across its consumer device range by extending the use of One UI. “One UI is now more than mobile; it’s the software experience for all Samsung consumer devices,” stated Hyesoon Jeong. This move is part of the company’s strategy to unify its brand across its consumer ecosystem, particularly as its artificial intelligence strategy evolves.
A Glimpse into One UI 7
One UI 7, set to launch with the 2025 Galaxy S series, will feature a fresh and new look across the interface, Jeong revealed. She outlined three aims for the upcoming software:
- A simple design with a clear purpose
- A striking impact leaving a “signature impression”
- An emotional design that evokes a human response from the user
A More Intuitive User Interface
One UI 7’s home screen exemplifies these targeted design principles, making it sleeker and easier to use, according to Vice President Jeong. Although One UI 7 will officially debut early next year, a developer beta version is expected by the end of this year.
