Secret Multiplayer Mode Now Available on Mobile for Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley on mobile has been updated with an innovative feature: experimental multiplayer mode. Using a dedicated IP connection, players can now collaborate on farms, enhancing the social gaming experience on the go.
Stardew Valley Mobile: A Multi-Surprise Update
The mobile app of the popular game Stardew Valley has just received a significant update. The main highlight? A secret multiplayer mode, currently in the testing phase.
Multiplayer Mode: A Different Kind of Connectivity
Unlike on other platforms, mobile users of Stardew Valley cannot spontaneously visit other players’ farms. Instead, multiplayer connections are exclusively made via IP address. However, it is still possible to join a farm hosted on a PC using a mobile device.
The developers warn users that using a mobile network is not recommended for this feature due to potential instability. The gaming experience is optimal when both devices are connected to the same network, although it is not a requirement.
How to Unlock This Secret Mode?
To access multiplayer on mobile, you must follow a specific sequence inspired by the famous Konami code, but omitting the A and B buttons, which are absent on smartphones and tablets. Detailed instructions are available on the Stardew Valley blog.
Once completed, a new cooperative menu will appear, allowing you to create or join a farm. If you wish to join a farm, you will need the IP address, which is relatively simple to find on your mobile device. Instructions for iOS and Android users can also be found on the Stardew Valley website.
A Promising Update
Despite its experimental nature, this mobile update of Stardew Valley introduces new gameplay possibilities. It remains to be seen how mobile players will receive these innovations.
