SQUID is the first app of personalized news for young people available in the largest European countries.
SQUID allows users to choose topics that really interest them, and to follow the latest news while creatively interacting with the most engaging stories – all in one application.
There are a couple of available features that make SQUID stand out. You can customize the app to have only the topics that interest you. You create your feed with as few or as many of the available topics as you want. When choosing to read an article, it is possible to use the web version, a version allowing you to read articles without being distracted by headlines or ads (a great feature sadly not available for all sources).
Furthermore, you have the possibility to block sources. If you feel that a magazine is too politically positioned for example, it is possible to ban it, and not see their articles.
SQUID app also offers some tools that allow you to personalize an article. You can draw directly on an article, highlight text, add stickers and share the article with your friend.
The news app for millennials has now over one million downloads. The company is growing its userbase with double digit numbers month on month. SQUID App is available for free in the UK, Italy, Poland, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Russia, Germany, Austria and Australia with an International and Catalan version as well. The app has received very good consumer reviews in Google Play Store and App Store and very positive coverage in media in all markets where launched.
We are very pleased to announce that 24matins.uk’s content can now be found in SQUID! You can find our articles in the following categories: “Top News”, “World”, “Business”, “Sport”, “Science” and “Tech”. Available for free on the App Store and the Play Store, Squid will be the perfect eight-legged friend to keep you informed during the day!
