Urgent talks held Sunday in Geneva brought together Ukrainian, American, and European representatives to discuss a new 28-point peace proposal backed by U.S. President Donald Trump. The plan—widely criticized for favoring Moscow by requiring Ukraine to cede territory—has drawn rejection from European leaders and discomfort from Kiev. Reports suggest that Washington exerted considerable pressure to secure agreement; however, a White House spokesperson dismissed any suggestions of pro-Russian bias as “entirely baseless.”
